Als rondreizende buurtcinema brengt Cinema IJburg films die raken aan actuele thema’s, persoonlijke verhalen en maatschappelijke vraagstukken naar verschillende plekken in IJburg. Deze tweede vertoning van de reeks vindt plaats in Lola Lokaal – een voormalige middelbare school die door buurtgenoten is getransformeerd tot levendige broedplaats voor kunst, ambacht en ontmoeting.
De documentaire Home Game van Lidija Zelovich onderzoekt de erfenis van oorlog en migratie binnen haar familie en de zoektocht naar wat ‘thuis’ betekent. Via het perspectief van voetbal — het spel dat mensen verbindt, rivaliteit aanwakkert en soms als strijdtoneel fungeert — verweeft Zelovich persoonlijke geschiedenis met universele vragen over identiteit, verlies en verzoening.

Cinema IJburg is back!
As a travelling neighbourhood cinema, Cinema IJburg brings films that touch on current themes, personal stories and social issues to different locations across IJburg. This second screening in the series takes place at Lola Lokaal – a former secondary school transformed by local residents into a vibrant community hub for art, craft and exchange.
The documentary Home Game by Lidija Zelovich explores the legacy of war and migration within her family and the search for what ‘home’ truly means. Through the lens of football — a game that unites communities, fuels rivalries and sometimes becomes a stage for deeper conflicts — Zelovich weaves together personal history with universal questions of identity, loss and reconciliation.
